Orally

While European countries were the masters at making Dry snuff or nasal snuff, they weren’t the only ones doing it. America was also making a dry snuff in states like Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia. But this snuff was not only regulated to being used nasally, it was also used orally! The unique process of fire curing tobacco made it perfect for grinding very finely. The consistency of the American Dry snuffs is much finer than the snuffs made in Europe and ground into a fine powder like Talcum powder. While these snuffs can be used nasally, Americans took to using them orally and it would be women that made it popular.
